Jan 9, 2013 · Anyone every trimmed or cut their ACH? Thinking about giving it a try but would like some insight before I go hacking away on a good helmet. personally I'm thinking it'll ruin the integrity of the helmet so I'd just buy a new one.

Aug 5, 2021 · Cutting a ACH into a high cut has downsides primarily the risk of the structural integrity of the edges where the helmet has been cut with a hacksaw, vs a helmet made with a high cut from the factory. Galvion Viper A3 is always a good bet for a reputable shell. They offer a full cut, mid cut, and high cut helmet.

Just bought an ACH and I'm thinking about sending it to Kustom ACH in the future. I've seen a lot of debate on how much of an effect the process has on the ballistic integrity. My question is, has anyone actually tested a high cut ACH and if so, what did they find?

Feb 12, 2025 · The ECH is essentially a modernized ACH constructed from UHMWPE. It runs the same size as ACH but is thicker due to it's construction. Recommended rails are; OpsCore Skeleton ACH-ARC, Gunnook Type III rails. Standard OpsCore ACH-ARC, Gunnook Type II rails will also usually fit.
