Last year I had the opportunity to work on a visual update for the Arena game mode to celebrate the release of Cthulhu to the SMITE pantheon. This is some of the production art that went into the transformation of this map.

Another splash art done for SMITE on their newly released 'God', the Cthulhu, as part of the new update 'The Great Dreamer'. Really fun fleshing out the Lovecraft deity into a fantasy game. Thanks to the guys at Polar Engine and Hi-Rez for the feedback and opportunity.

Cthulhu is one of the playable Gods in SMITE. Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah-nagl fhtagn. In his house at R'lyeh, dread Cthulhu waits dreaming. For him the sleep of aeons is as but a momentary stillness, and in his dreams he speaks to those who would listen. He erodes the minds of the weak, and emboldens the mad.
