That's a simple matter of history. We can do better than some dusty old laws. I don't personally think Crip Mac had any business having a gun, but that doesn't mean his treatment is 'fair and equal' under the law or any shit like that. The judiciary weighs against him in systematic ways that folks from other backgrounds simply would never face.
