The Cozy Mark IV is a 4-seat, single engine, homebuilt light aircraft designed by Nat Puffer, with parts and plans supplied by Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Co. The aircraft is built from plans using basic raw materials. It is not a kit aircraft, though many small parts are available prefabricated.

Jan 22, 2010 · Designed by Burt Rutan, the Cozy Mark IV is one of the most popular four place composites in the air. The Cozy features forward canards, which provide two lifting surfaces. With canards, wings can have less area, less span and a lower weight loading. Drag is reduced and the performance is enhanced.

The Cozy Mark IV is our newest design, and about 225 have been completed and are flying, with many more almost complete. It is also important to remember that the Cozy was based on Burt Rutan's very successful Varieze and LongEz designs which each had around 3000 flying.

The Cozy Mark IV is a 4-place, single engine, homebuilt light aircraft designed by Nat Puffer. The aircraft is constructed from foam and fiberglass and can cruise at up to 180 – 190 knots.

Some parts however are available, i.e. main landinggear bow, retract for the nose-gear, most of the metal-parts, canopy etc. Building time is 2000-3000 hours. The plans are sold by Aircraft Spruce and costs US$500.
