Calcium: what will a high source do for deer?
Dec 18, 2007 · Sunflowers are not super high in calcium. The whole plants are less than alfalfa or clover. the seeds are lower yet, but still higher in Ca than corn or acorns. Calcium is important for everything that hard county said. If the deer are low in Calcium, then more would help.

Apr 24, 2024 · I bought some of my seeds at Rural King in Clarksville this year. It was the only place I could find flat Italian green bean seed locally. Planted a 30' row, and got 7 plants. Backseeded with more, and zero germination. Obviously a bad batch of seeds at Rural King. Also planted some cucumbers from there and got one plant.

Jan 9, 2019 · Unfortunately we didn't have fence around it. Deer didn't touch corn (coons sure did) but they decimated every bean plant on a regular basis, didn't matter what variety of bean. And for a bonus ate every small growing pumpkin and cucumbers. Cucumbers are supposed to be deer unfriendly. I have soybean seeds ready to go for this spring.
