The Dodge D3F series was probably based on the Commer 100 and Commer 500 series. Diesels got Rockwell rear axles, gas engines got Spicers. The 400/500 had a choice of six or eight cylinder (225 or 318) gas engines, or a Perkins diesel, hooked up to a four speed or five speed manual transmission; body and payload could reach 5,900 kg.
