Meaning they contain alcohol in liquid form, when the alcohol evaporates the ink dries to the paper. Putting any alcohol on a comic book will dissolve the inks again.

Ubooquity for books, Tachiyomi via FDroid for comics. Tachiyomi is amazing, you can read and download comics via various comic and manga catalogues on line. You don't need to maintain your own collection. Like Netflix for comics. If you have really unique or niche stuff you might need find something else but for most content it's pretty fine.
