Dec 16, 2019 · The Modular Carbines are still listed on Colt's website in 7.62 x 51 and 6.5 CM caliber. The Modular Carbine appears to be using the '901' lower receiver and indicates the upper receivers can be swapped out to 5.56. The Modular Carbines are simply "out of stock" and there's no indication they've discontinued production of the lower receiver.

Sep 10, 2017 · The Colt gas tube will not work other gas blocks as the FSB is taller and the tube is straight. The armalite 308 carbine gas block works. I installed the govnah and eventually got the 901 working suppressed with no gas to the face and ejection to 4:30.

Mar 4, 2023 · In the end Colt is still being Colt. I don't see them surviving the next 10 years. There are too many companies giving the american people what they want. They won't and Colt does not have the funds to survive. Now is the time to buy Colts. They won't be around much longer. Its the above thinking that has gotten them in this position.

Nov 4, 2012 · I'm sure it's the gas ring, it's the part on the bolt that's on a .556 that has three little rings, but on the colt 901 it's just one piece. Some how when I was putting the bolt back into the bolt carrier the ring got bent.

Dec 14, 2019 · I'm a big Colt fanboy and I just could not pass on the 901SE sale at AU. That ability to use any mil-spec 5.56 upper and then with one single part move up to .308 was the draw. I was late to the 901 bus. Knew about it, watched, just never bought in. Kickin' myself for being shortsighted, I'm sorry that bled over into your thread.
