Sep 1, 2020 · I will also say that I used to be a young service manager in a Goodyear tire store (decades ago), and replaced many, many tires under warranty. But the "banding" you referred to is really fairly common on radial tires. I wouldn't let that worry me. But I'll bet a dollar to a doughnut that Coker won't hesitate in replacing the tire with a bubble.
Has anyone except me had a problem with installing Coker tires?
Nov 19, 2024 · Next time, if there is a next time, I will do what The 55er said and put the tires out in the sun with blocks inside to expand them before taking them in. They put all the weights on the inside of the rims. One tire had one weight, the second tire had three weights, the third tire had four weights, and the fourth tire had five.

Even if your vintage bias-ply tires say Firestone or Goodyear or BFGoodrich or any other manufacturer on the side, they're probably still made by Coker. If you need an old car bias-ply tire, it is more than 90% likely that it was made by Coker.
