Oct 18, 2017 · Is the coax you refer to the RF antenna input on the TV? You had the cable antenna wire from the wall connected directly to it? Then you would need either a cable box or QAM cable tuner which would connect to an HDMI input on the TV.

Jan 31, 2018 · Pretty weird of TV manufacturers to leave out a coax connection on a TV when more people are cutting cable and going to free Over-The-Air antennas. I guess they figure the little savings on having an ATSC tuner is a good idea. Most people have 'Cable Boxes' with HDMI out, or some other kind of HDMI feed.

Feb 9, 2017 · You cant use your TVs coaxal port to recieve both Satellite and OTA. Your TV can not decrypt the directv signal, thus you need to go through the reciever and then HDMI (or coponent or whatever you use) into your TV. Now if your DirecTV reciever has an "OTA input coax port then you can connect your OTA cable to that.
