Sep 25, 2013 · I have only heard of clown plecos getting 3-4" big. Mine is still pretty small and I have had him for a little over 6 months. As for eating algae, forget it. I hardly ever see the little guy except for when I am really cleaning the tank.
bristlenose plecostomus and mystery snail compatibility
Jan 3, 2013 · Recently, I have added 4 marble sized mystery snails to my tank which houses a full grown plecostomus. I noticed that as they crawl around my tank the bristlenose would constantly suck on their shells but I didn't think that he was doing any real harm to them. Today I noticed an empty shell, so I have 3 left.

Dec 26, 2015 · I have a clown plecostomus in the tank which are typically very sensitive to the Copper and will likely die. I've been doing my reading about snails and solutions and some of them say to trap them using lettuce or a piece of cucumber that has been blanched in hot water.

Aug 11, 2020 · Population: 2x 2in Tiger Oscars, 2 x 2in Chocolate Cichlid, 1 x 4in Ghost Knife, 2 x clown loach (3 in, 5 in), 2 x 2 in fineline pleco ( one is the sick one). Tank cycled for 2 months prior to adding fish, then added no more than 4 fish per month. Finelines were added 3 weeks ago. Tank has ornaments and driftwood, no live plants.

Oct 5, 2006 · Hey folks, I really really really want to get 3 Clown Loach but I keep hearing differing opinions on tank sizes etc. Surely my 27-30 gallon tank would be enough for just 3? Also currently in the tank just now is a plecostomus, 1 neon (don't ask), and 2 marble mollies.
