The Ilur named “Clinker-kit” is a new version of Ilur, designed in 2012 to be built from a numerically cut plywood kit. The hull planking is made of 9 mm plywood. Frames are cut into 18 mm plywood with a timber trim on all visible edges.

The kit can be built surprisingly quickly, using the clinker plywood method where the boat is built upside down over a framework of the centre support, stem, transom and bottom plank (all supplied). The planks are added and then it is turned over to be fitted out with trim and seats.

The Wherry is a traditional looking clinker style rowing boat that offers thoroughbred performance. Her handsome hull shape reminds us of classic Thames wherries. The boat is for my use just perfect, even on the river!
