Jun 13, 2016 · Hi guys, so a few months back i recieved a badge from Siemens, this badge shows a class 332 train. There isnt much else to say, the little piece of card it came with has some info on the back which says "Built by Siemens and CAF in 1997-98, there are 14 class 332 trains operated by Heathrow Express between Heathrow Airport and London Padington.

Dec 5, 2020 · As the page is called "British Rail Class 332" the whole thing is flawed from the word go. They were never BR. The point while valid for many other types is specifically more valid w.r.t. 332 and HEx as the whole thing has been an open access operation from the word go.

Jun 21, 2012 · Tonight I had a trip on a refurbished class 332 on the 22:57 Heathrow Terminal 5 - London Paddington. Excellent is an understatement, it's like a totally new train on the inside, not a bodge job 'refresh' with a mere change of antimacassar and lick of paint in the nooks and crannies that certain TOCs are calling refurbishments these days.

Dec 5, 2020 · I'm not sure which Wikipedia page you're looking at, but British Rail Class 332 - Wikipedia clearly states "Following BAA being granted rights to operate services from London Paddington to Heathrow Airport, 14 trains were ordered in July 1994 from Siemens."

May 6, 2012 · also as far as compatible units/couplings post BR is concerned.. the class 168/170 Turbostar was probably the best in that respect... it used a BSI coupler that was able to allow multiple working with BR class 15X, and with class 165/166 (after some sort of adjustment)...
