
British Rail Class 105 - Wikipedia
The British Rail Classes 105 and 106 diesel multiple units were built by Cravens Ltd. of Sheffield from 1956 to 1959. The class were built with a side profile identical to British Railways Mark 1 carriage stock, using the same doors and windows.
Class 105 DMU - Railcar
They were the only DMU type to be delivered to four different regions: Eastern (50 sets, 100 vehicles); London Midland (38 sets, 95 vehicles); North Eastern (31 sets, 63 vehicles); and Scottish (22 sets, 44 vehicles). They operated in areas around Manchester, East Anglia, East & North London, Newcastle, Scotland, Cumbria and Lincolnshire.

Vehicle 56464 - Railcar
The dmu is a Cravens 2-car set of Class 105, made up of cars 56464/51279. From memory I think it has arrived on a service from Newcastle and is about set back over the crossover into the eastbound platform to form the 13.10 back to Newcastle Central.

On 14th July the 19:45 arrival at Edinburgh Waverley from Glasgow Central from Shotts was formed of set 550 - 53377 (Class 105 DMBS) + 59805 (Class 107 TSL) + 53505 (Class 104 TSL). The arrival of further 104s and 120s from the LMR saw some changes to set formations, such as set 532 which now contained 51294 + 59796 + 53669.
