The Civil Service Commission (CSC) spearheads the 124th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1050, series of 1997 declaring the month of September as the Civil Service Month.

Civil Service Month is observed in September every year and is a particularly important month for all civil workers since it commemorates the establishment of the civil service on September 19, 1900, as a result of Public Law No. 5 of 1900.
