The citrange (a portmanteau of citrus and orange) is a citrus hybrid of the sweet orange and the trifoliate orange. The purpose of this cross was to attempt to create a cold hardy citrus tree (which is the nature of a trifoliate), with delicious fruit like those of the sweet orange.

Both C-35 and C-32 are F1 hybrids between Ruby orange (CRC 589, NLA) and Webber-Fawcett trifoliate (CRC 2552). Carrizo citrange. November to January. C-35 is reported to be a slightly smaller, more open tree with some some low-branch dieback in older trees.

Dec 23, 2013 · The fruit of the Morton citrange is so similar to an ordinary orange that the two would not be distinguished by an ordinary observer. The former differs from the latter only in bneing slightly lighter in color and having a slight indications of lobing.
