If you plan to extract a CXI file: Write the "CXI" command, and enter the name of your .CXI file WITHOUT its extension. Wait while it's extracting. The ExeFS content will be extracted in an ExtractedExeFS folder.

Therefore, I used '3DS To CIA Converter v4.1' and selected the 'Start CIA to 3DS Converter' option. I received an error: "Could not read exheader file!". Mar 19, 2025 · the CIA file contain the contents. you install the CIA because you want to access the contents. if you want to decrypt a 2gb CIA, you will have to install it. it is very slow. but, you can use the contents from the CIA without installing it. but you will need to decrypt them. when you install a CIA, the contents become decrypted (partially)
