CILO offers Five Core Services in which direct provision is carried out to people with disabilities: advocacy, independent living skills training, peer counseling, transition services for youth and information & referral services.

CILO serves any individual of any age with any disability. The Americans with Disabilities Act is a landmark civil rights law that took effect on July 26, 1990. It marks a significant milestone in the fight against discrimination based on disability.

About Us - CILO
The Coalition for Independent Living Options, Inc. (CILO) is a private non-profit, client-directed civil rights organization for children and adults with all types of disabilities. Incorporated in 1990, CILO primarily serves Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee counties.

Life Skills - CILO
Our staff can help you or your child learn all sorts of skills to help them thrive at work and in society. Instruction ranges from learning to budget, write a resume, look for a job, how to interview, how to cook, do the laundry, feel safe using public transit and for peer support.

To promote survivors’ recoveries, our Crime Victims’ team hosts an annual Thrive event where in song, poetry and conversations, victims share how they have overcome their abusers.
