Nov 21, 2015 · I do realize that Chromatic and Metallic Dragons have different styles of interacting with humanoids. Metallics are much more likely to take a jaunt amongst humans or elves for a decade or three, so perhaps the absence of the ability reflects the fact that Chromatic Dragons simply don't do such things, not that they cannot.

Note that the age at which a dragon can shapeshift depends on their type: brass and copper dragons can only shapeshift once they reach the ancient category (801+ years), while bronze, gold, and silver dragons can shapeshift starting from adulthood (101+ years).

The Red Dragon miniature seems to be consistent with this information, but it is odd that while the White Dragon miniature should be the smallest according to the lore, the Blue Dragon is smaller, or at least their wings are.
