Cheongpyeong Lake (Korean: 청평호) is a clear water artificial lake [1] in Cheongpyeong, Gapyeong County, and Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. [2] It was created with the construction of Cheongpyeong Dam in 1944 to block the Bukhangang River. [ 3 ]

On both sides of the lake, Homyeonsan (Mt.) rises high to complete a beautiful view. People seek Cheonpyeong Lake for vacations in the summer and it is frequented by tourists all year round. It is a popular water-ski resort and every year, young fish are released for visitors to fish.

At Cheongpyeong Lake you can water-ski, jet-ski, banana boat, knee-board, and more. Spending half a day here in Summer was great. The water was cold, but refreshing.
