The truth is as many have said there is no serious widespread corruption amongst the Tau or even combat between the forces of Chaos and Tau. The Tau do not even believe the Imperium when they explained Chaos to them, especially the part about monsters appearing in thin air to slaughter every thing.

Jan 22, 2021 · Chaos's greatest strength is that it can attack from within. Be it a person or a whole group. The T'au have no connection to the warp. They can't even fully use it for travel. This prevents chaos from attacking from within and would force chaos to have to fight them head on, which is something that takes a lot of limited resources for chaos to do.
