CFPN® is a two-year credential with no recertification mechanism; however, based on the valuable input of past and present CFPN® certificants, we have added the opportunity to extend your credential.

CCI credentials are the gold standard in perioperative certification. The CNOR, CSSL, CNAMB, and CFPN credentials are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC). CNOR is also accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

Nurses applying for the CFPN credential must have a current, unrestricted RN license in state or country of practice and have a certificate of completion from a perioperative nursing orientation program having both a didactic (classroom) and a clinical component.
