Centering clampings (centering clamping elements and centering clamping mandrels) are mechanical clamping elements for centring and clamping components with a locating bore - through bore or blind hole.

Centering clamping mandrels are used for centering and clamping of workpieces with a locating hole. The centering clamping mandrels have the following characteristics:

The centering clamping mandrels can be mounted on grid and fixture plates, for example, by pressing them into bores or screwing them into threads. They enable exact positioning, offer precise repeat accuracy and achieve high holding forces when clamping parts with holes.

The centering clamping mandrel can be machined to the required seating diameter (e.g. by turning/milling). It must be noticed that before machining the centering clamping mandrel, it will be expanded approx. 0.1 mm over the clamping diameter.
