Celestion G12H-30 s VS Vintage 30's - The Gear Page
Mar 16, 2011 · I have a 1960 AV cab and it says Vintage speakers by Celestion - I've heard these are the V30 and I'm surprised because these sound very warm with my Marshall Plexi's. I don't get the ice pick or mids spike, etc. They sound warm and well-balanced to me. Then again, I don't use too much treble either - failry flat eq.
Whats the final word on Celestion G12H30 70th Anniversary?
Nov 6, 2017 · These are 85Hz (free-air) speakers and I never was much of a fan of them - heard plenty of them yet never played through one, though. They're like a G12H30 Greenback that wants to be a V30. The Heritage 75Hz one has a sweeter midrange with more vintage feel to it.
Line 6/Celestion speaker question - The Gear Page
Feb 15, 2011 · "The Celestion G12P-80 8 ohm speakers were custom made for Line6 to provide a super flat response which allows the circuitry to "Model" different speakers and cabinet sounds. It is NOT 100% accurate but it is very close and the best type speakers to use if you want to use modeling amps live.
Update/edit in the OP: Vintage Blackface Deluxe Reverb
Jun 9, 2022 · To your question though, I did have a well broken in Celestion Gold in my vintage 66 Deluxe Reverb for a while. Surprisingly it still retains what I consider a Fender type tone. It does differ however from the American type speakers usually recommended for this amp like the GA, Jupiter, WGS and Weber.

Dec 3, 2024 · As we all know, the Celestion V-Type was a great success since it was released. Some great amp builders like Suhr, PRS, Fender and others load their combos with these speakers. I would like to categorize the tone profile of this speaker with the help of all of you guys. Some described...
The "Final" Fender Deluxe Reverb "Best" Speaker Thread!
Jan 17, 2018 · Celestion Alnico Cream for me. I don't have a blue to compare the Gold with. I have read mixed reviews on how similar the Gold is to the Blue, but I imagine they are pretty close - if you like the blue, you will like the Gold kind of thing.
Tweed Champ - Which new 8" Speaker? | The Gear Page
Mar 16, 2023 · Celestion on the other side provides that but it is a little dominant. Maybe Mojotone Anthem is the right replacement for it in this 4 speaker combination. Overall I must say I prefer sound of two or four 8 inch speakers to 12 inches and maybe maybe maybe also to 10 inches.
Celestion A-type speaker - The Gear Page
Dec 28, 2017 · Who’s using the celestion a type speaker? I’m thinking about putting one in my tonedog/tweed deluxe 1-12 which my pro jr is in. I’ve been running it with a British celestion greenback ri. It sounds great but I was thinking a good American sounding option might be cool. I also run the amp with a...
Celestion speakers for Fender Twin Reverb II | The Gear Page
Jun 2, 2022 · Or 150w Celestion G12H Redbacks. Another great choice is the Rawson Sparfield Starfinder 100w. Starfinders are an all but exact repro of the original Fane 100w Cresendo A, and are even charged on the original magnatizer Fane used for the Cresendos. Id go with the Starfinders if money is no object, and you dont mind 18lb speakers.
Celestion V-Type, what is the verdict? | Page 2 | The Gear Page
Sep 15, 2017 · To me it didn't sound much better than the Celestion Seventy-80 G12P that came with an extension cab I currently have (Hot rod deluxe closed back 1x12 ) ..it did sound different than the seventy-80, but to say better or worst its a tough call, just different frequencies, 70-80 a little more open low end while the v type seemed tighter in the ...
