Cyclin D3 - Wikipedia
G1/S-specific cyclin-D3 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CCND3 gene. [5] The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the highly conserved cyclin family, whose members are characterized by a dramatic periodicity in protein abundance through the cell cycle. Cyclins function as regulators of CDK kinases.

Mar 30, 2025 · CCND3 (Cyclin D3) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with CCND3 include Thrombocythemia 1 and Leukemia, Acute Lymphoblastic. Among its related pathways are Defective binding of RB1 mutants to E2F1,(E2F2, E2F3) and ncRNAs involved in Wnt signaling in hepatocellular carcinoma.
CCND3 is indispensable for the maintenance of B-cell acute ...
Jan 10, 2022 · In this study, we demonstrated that CCND3 is essential for the proliferation and survival of B-ALL, independent of the mutational background. Respectively, its expression at mRNA level exceeds...
Recurrent CCND3 mutations in MLL-rearranged acute myeloid …
In this study, we identified recurrent mutations in CCND3, which encodes cyclin D3, in MLL -rearranged AML. Cyclins are cofactors that bind to cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), allowing cell-cycle progression.

Feb 8, 2025 · CCND3 is the primary driver of the cell cycle, in cooperation with CCND1 that integrates extracellular mitogenic signaling. Observational study of gene-disease association and gene-environment interaction.
Cyclin D3 coordinates the cell cycle during differentiation to …
By examining human and mouse primary erythroid cells, we demonstrate that the CCND3 gene product cyclin D3 regulates the number of cell divisions that erythroid precursors undergo during terminal differentiation, thereby controlling erythrocyte size and number.
Downregulated CCND3 Is a Key Event Driving Lung …
Cyclin D3 (CCND3), a member of the cyclin D family, is known to promote cell cycle transition. In this study, we found that CCND3 was downregulated in cisplatin-resistant (cis-diamminedichloroplatinum, DDP) lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) cells. The loss ...

Dec 5, 2017 · Xiong et al. (1992) cloned CCND3 and found that all 3 human D-type cyclin genes encode small (33-34 kD) proteins that share an average of 57% identity over the entire coding region and 78% in the cyclin box. The D-type cyclins are most closely related to cyclin A (39% identity) and cyclin E (36%), followed by cyclin B (29%) and cyclin C (21%).
