The Children's Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) offers a set of six comprehensive behavioral health services for youth under the age of 21 and their families.

Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) programs support youth and families who are managing mental health, emotional, and behavioral challenges. These services are covered by MassHealth for youth up to age 21, and by many commercial insurance plans up to age 18.

Practice Guidelines support the alignment of MassHealth home- and community-based services with the values that are important to families, support positive outcomes, and reflect the best intentions and expectations of CBHI.

Our Child, Youth, and Family Services spring from the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) which encompasses multiple service systems that include: Intensive Care Coordination, Family Support and Training, In-Home Therapy, Therapeutic Mentoring, Outpatient Therapy, and Psychiatry, and Mobile Crisis Intervention.
