Totally understand the feelings of hardcore Caylus players if they prefer the sharp edges and twisty minutiae of the original, as I'm sure many an opponent lay slain by the cuts and confusion of these, but this remake is a wonderful example of taking what is good about an aging design and giving it a smart spin.
