Caulerpa eating fish | Reef2Reef
Jun 13, 2011 · Caulerpa made its way from my fuge to the DT and has gained a foothold in the rockwork. I can't get at all of it for manual removal, and the rockwork is bonded together into a 50-60 pound mass that's not coming out. I'm looking for suggestions of fish that have a …
Caulerpa vs chaeto - REEF2REEF Saltwater and Reef Aquarium Forum
Jan 31, 2024 · i've read many success stories on the caulerpa. apparently it is more efficient than chaeto (in terms of growing and nutrient export) but can definitely go "asexual" and spread throughout your tank. i have no personal experience with this and have only ever used chaeto. if i had experience with shipping i would definitely send over some to you. i usually pull out about a 1lb size chunk every ...
Chaeto vs. Caulerpa. Which is more effective? | Reef2Reef
May 20, 2020 · People might shy away from Caulerpa since it has a higher likelihood of invading your display tank. So far it hasn't happened to me but I can see how it might happen. It attaches itself to the rockwork and is harder to completely remove. All you need is one leaf. That said, the Caulerpa seems a lot easier to grow.

Aug 29, 2017 · Caulerpa is more efficient than chaeto and will outcompete it, but was a long term nightmare until I got a foxface. Even taking down the tank and scrubbing every rock and surface did not solve it as it grew back from tiny bits in crevices.
real talk: how do you plant grape caulerpa | Reef2Reef
Jul 26, 2023 · Technically, my 'grape' caulerpa doesn't actually appear to be the literal 'sea grape' type. I got mine from Reef Cleaners, which is actually C. cupressoides, var. lycopodium. Reef Cleaners sells it as Grape Caulerpa, but it is a completely different species called Cactus Tree Caulerpa. I had forgotten about that until I read back on the RC page.
