Aug 14, 2018 · Yes, it's normal. Mingo's fangs stick out like that sometimes, and he looks like a vampire. One black cat at the rescue had fangs that hung out all the time, and they named him Count Chocula. A diet of wet food would be better for him as male cats sometimes get crystals from dry food only.

May 21, 2019 · But, if a cat, especially an older cat suddenly develops "vampire fangs", the cat should see a vet asap. Whether there is a specific gene that causes it, I have not clue. I am not an expert and don't pretend to be one. I am just fascinated by natural mutations in animals. I have seen a cat born with two sets of ears.

I managed to get the cat and look in his mouth and he has a large hole where the fang tooth was. I have been feeding my cats some special kitty soft food trying to put some weight on this cat. As the tooth was not surgically removed it has a large hole.

Mar 16, 2015 · Hey! My cat is 10 yrs old, he also has a tooth that sticks out of his mouth. I thought nothing of it until i was petting him earlier and saw that it look off, so I opened his mouth (gently of course) and touched it a bit (Tried not to cause him pain) and it is loose.... and he doesn't seem to be in pain what so ever, he is fine with eating, drinking etc.

Oct 24, 2003 · Laurie is right, filing down a cat's teeth will prove painful for them, opens them up to infections and mouth disease and is an unneccessary action to take against a biting cat. She gives you wonderful ideas of how to redirect biting. Also if your cat has your hand and is biting it, the normal reaction is to pull away, don't.
