The Caterpillar D8 is a track-type tractor designed and manufactured by Caterpillar since 1935. Today, the largest in Caterpillar's medium range, [1] it was superseded by the D9 in 1955. Though it comes in many configurations, it is usually sold as a bulldozer equipped with a detachable large blade and a rear ripper attachment.

Oct 23, 2014 · I'm selling my 1954 D8 13A ser.#13A1275 with 17139 Hrs. Both engines run. Carb & Starter on the ponymotor work but need TLC (Cleaning Rebuild). It has Pencil Stick Steering. (Rivinious Power Steering, No Clutch Levers) It uses hydraulics to operate the steering clutches. Pins & Bushings have been turned, not much wear since.
