What does Oklahoma CASA do? Oklahoma CASA is a nonprofit organization which supports the 19 affiliate programs across the state that recruit, screen, train, and supervise CASA volunteers.

There are 19 active CASA programs in Oklahoma that train volunteers to speak up for abused children in court. CASA serves children in 63 of Oklahoma's 77 counties as well as four tribal courts. CASA is a unique concept for the juvenile court system. When the first program began in Seattle, Washington in 1977, it was an experiment to involve community volunteers in sensitive and confidential matters of families.
