There is a beautiful color photo of a 1930 dated CZ 27 in the book. The gun is in the 6,000 range and has a checkered walnut grip.

Mar 30, 2009 · I did find one on GA that had the J 37 markings and it was advertised as a CZ 24 in .380 acp. Looked exactly like this one, except not nearly in as good of condition. Trying to figure out now how to field strip to take a good look at the chamber and barrel.

Oct 1, 2010 · From what I can find on the internet, it appears to be a model 24 or 27, similar to what you find on this site. It has a J*37 stamped on one side and a serial number of 188***. All serial numbers on the slide, frame, and barrel match. It has been in storage for almost 20 years so I cleaned and lubed it up and it appears to function great.

Clean shiny BORE ON THIS MODEL 24 , with freckles nearer the muzzle.A pre- occupation made pistol with about 65% blue, with thinning and pre wartime finish and good crisp action. Straw color remaining on the trigger, grips very good. Has one model 24 marked mag. numbered to another gun. Side of frame has J37 and the CZECH proof..

The vz. 38 is a semi-automatic pistol manufactured from 1939 to 1945 and chambered in .380 ACP (in Europe called 9×17mm Browning Short). The barrel is attached to the frame by a hinge, allowing for very easy disassembly.

No finish left on slide, blued finish on frame with some areas of very light freckling, excellent bore, brown plastic grips show light scratches and handling marks, 1 - 8 round magazine. Left side of frame is stamped "J37". Top of slide is stamped "Ceska Zbrojovka A.S.v Praze".
