Aug 12, 2020 · I stumbled on a local surplus seller via Facebook, and decided to pick a a DH-132B CVC helmet for 36 bucks as a sudden Covid project/dip my toes into ballistic helmets. So, here we are now! I have completed the primary assembly of thr helmet and I'm extremely pleased with how it turned out! (Apologies for taking forever to get it done) *UPDATE*

Dec 25, 2014 · Then I bought a used team Wendy helmet for 250.00. The team Wendy helmet is so comfortable I have not wore that cvc helmet since. So in my opinion if you already have the pads and chin straps and stuff already at hand I would go a better route. Plus I found the cvc to hot to wear comfortably in the summer months.

That being said, that protection is only to the forehead, top of the head and back of the head, with no proteciton to the sides or to the neck.

Feb 6, 2017 · For example, the Ceradyne gunfighter cut helmet has a V50 of 2132 fps. Even the Ops-Core Fast has a V50 of only 2200 fps, thats direct from Ops-Cores specs on their site. The CVC 132B has a V50 of 2150 fps, so they're damn close to being IIIa, if not actually being IIIa.
