Jun 6, 2011 · The first thing that I noticed coming from my 2005 CTS-V was the increased brake pedal pressure needed to slow the car down. Well, really no surprise given the 400# weight increase for the 2009. I would be curious about the 'Ring times for the V1 vs. the V2. Regardless, both generations are special.

Nov 15, 2010 · The 1st Gen CTS-V is also known to have more of a 'raw' driving experience compared to the V2. 1st Gen was also plagued with fairly major wheel hop under hard acceleration (Eliminated on the V2 with a completely different setup underneath) The wheel hop can lead to destructive failure of the rear diff and the parts around it. 2nd Gen also had more interior options including optional Recarro ...

Aug 5, 2019 · I know it's nothing new to install CTS-V rotors/calipers but with the new website I can post pictures easy now. I went with V1 front because I don't really like V2 front calipers. I only needed to make a small aluminum bushing for the mounting bolts and smash the dust shields flat. Rears are CTS-V1-2-3 with V2 backing plates.

Aug 10, 2013 · Cts-v v1 I'm stationed in Germany and want to pick up some wheels stateside - so they have to fit because sending them back won't reallly be an option. wheel: lexani r-six size: 20×8.5 / 20x10 tire: probably 235/35/20 in the front - no idea in the back.

Aug 10, 2009 · You are right, but there is the matter of degree. It is one thing to mod a V1 to get something that is better considered either a V1+ or a V2-, but it is quite another thing to convert a V1 into a V2 complete with its different interior, trick suspension, etc.
