Im more interested in lung CA, sarcoidosis, pulmonary vascular disease, rheumatological lung disease and pulmonary-renal syndromes, as well as pre/post lung surgery patients.

They can use their critical care background to manage Ventilators in the ICU.

A GI doctor who does 15 scopes in one day probably don't remember anything about managing CHF or COPD exacerbation in his IM residency, not to mention pathology and Ob-Gyn in medical school.
