Both the 7259 and slug 236 are GP9 units, built in 1958-59 and remanufactured at the CN Pointe St-Charles in Montreal. CN 7259 was the former 4259 with high hood, till about 1990 when it was remanufactured and CN 236 was converted around 1988.

Sep 29, 2022 · CN 7213 had the CN.CA paint when I photographed it in Winnipeg in March 2020, and 7254 had it back in January 2013. CN 7258 is the only CN GP9 I have observed with the 15 years logo. I'm happy to share images for this post if you wish.
