The C218 Mercedes-Benz CLS is the second generation of the Mercedes CLS-Class range of four-door coupé sedans. The model shares the chassis and most of the technology with the W212 E-Class and was produced from 2011 to 2017.

The W218 was in production between 2011 and 2018 and was later replaced by the C257 which is still in production. The CLS shares most of its parts with the W212 which means that these two are similar when it comes to maintenance and reliability.

Dec 19, 2020 · I just bought a W218 2012 CLS550, Black on Black with the "usual" options for a W218. Did not come with Distronic, rear climate control, or black headliner (sadly), but I think I got the majority of the other options. I am only 2 months in but I absolutely love the W218.

Feb 10, 2021 · A monstrous AMG edition joined the line-up a few months later: the 518bhp CLS 63 with a twin-turbo 5.5-litre V8. Then the CLS Shooting Brake was launched in November 2012 in 250 CDI, 350 CDI and 63 AMG forms, with a powered tailgate and self-levelling rear suspension as standard.
