The purpose of the Certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector (CEPSCI) Program is to educate field personnel on the proper installation, maintenance and inspection of erosion prevention and sediment control measures at construction sites.

CEPSCI was developed through the cooperative effort of the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, SC Department of Transportation (SCDOT), Greenville County Soil and Water Conservation District, SC Department of Environmental Services (SCDES), the SC Sea Grant Extension Program and Woolpert, Inc.

The Certified Erosion Prevention & Sediment Control Inspector program’s Initial Certification will qualify individuals who complete the class and pass the corresponding exam. Enrollment in the class includes automatic registration for the corresponding examination at no additional cost. All qualifying exams will be the day following the class.
