Mar 28, 2016 · I've always been interested in understanding the origin/info of the Col de Dame fig family (abbreviated CdD). The following is what I've noted so far. Please correct me if any of the information is incorrect: Col de Dame translates in French to "Neck/Collar of the Lady."

It is a medium sized, soft skin and jammy flesh with a very defined neck as many of the CDD's signature feature. It develops phenomenal and appealing and colorful stripes unlike any other to almost purple in color as it matures with faint evidences of any striping.
