CD63 - Wikipedia
CD63 is a good marker for flow cytometric quantification of in vitro activated basophils for diagnosis of IgE-mediated allergy. The test is commonly designated as basophil activation test (BAT).
CD63 antibody (25682-1-AP) | Proteintech - ptglab
The CD63 tetraspanin is highly expressed in the early stages of melanoma and decreases in advanced lesions, suggesting it as a possible suppressor of tumor progression. Deficiency of this protein is associated with Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome.

CD63 is an essential cofactor to leukocyte recruitment by …
Oct 13, 2011 · We report that siRNA depletion of CD63 from human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) results in loss of P-selectin dependent recruitment of THP-1 monocytic cells under flow in vitro. CD63 knockout mice showed both a loss of P-selectin dependent leukocyte rolling and a failure of leukocyte extravasation in a peritonitis model.
CD63 associates with tyrosine kinase activity and CD11/CD18, and ...
Oct 15, 1996 · The data suggest that CD63 Ab binding to the neutrophil surface triggers a transient activation signal that requires extracellular calcium and regulates the adhesive activity of CD11/CD18. Associated protein kinase activity may play a role in signal transduction by CD63 to regulate other cell functions.
CD63 sorts cholesterol into endosomes for storage and ... - Nature
Jun 17, 2024 · Here we report that a key component of small extracellular vesicles, the tetraspanin CD63, sorts cholesterol to ILVs, generating a pool that can be mobilized by the NPC1/2 complex, and exported...
CD63 is tightly associated with intracellular, secretory events ...
Intracellular trafficking of CD63 is connected to granule‐derived secretory pathways in human eosinophils. Eosinophil activation leads to secretion of presynthesized, granule‐stored mediators that determine the course of allergic, inflammatory, and immunoregulatory responses.
Sequential deletion of CD63 identifies topologically distinct …
In this study, we describe new and topologically distinct CD63 scaffolds that enable robust and flexible surface engineering of the exosome. In particular, we conducted sequential deletions of the transmembrane helix of CD63 to generate a series of CD63 truncates, each genetically-fused to a fluorescent protein.

CD63 acts as a functional marker in maintaining hematopoietic …
Aug 6, 2021 · In this study, we identify tetraspanin CD63 as a novel functional marker of HSCs in mice. We show that CD63 is unevenly expressed on the cell surface in HSC populations.
CD63 as novel target for nanoemulsion-based 19F MRI imaging …
Photoaffinity labeling identified the tetraspanin CD63 as the main EP9-binding protein, which was supported by CD63-EP9 modeling data. Expression of CD63 was significantly upregulated in infarct-activated fibroblasts of mice and humans.
