The Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) C151 is the first generation electric multiple unit (EMU) rolling stock in operation on the North–South and East–West lines of Singapore's Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system, manufactured by a consortium led by Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) under Contract 151.

Apr 16, 2017 · All C151B trains are comprised of six cars with open gangway connections between all cars. Each car has eight doors, four on each side. Priority seats are located in every car, near the doors. Doors are also powered by electric motors, the first for NSEWL train.

Sixty-six C151 trains, each comprising six carriages, were purchased from a consortium of four manufacturers led by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, with no comparable differences between them. These trains are currently housed at the Bishan, Ulu Pandan, Changi, and Tuas train depots.

Oct 25, 2024 · STARiS 2 is integrated into all C151B trains, with LCD displays and LED door opening indicators built into the panels above all 48 train doors. It provides commuters with their route information throughout their journey and indicates which side the doors will open.

It is the first generation rolling stock on the MRT and is one of the five types of electric multiple units on the North South and East West Lines. The trains were introduced in 1987 and are still in operation. There are sixty-six trainsets with six cars each.
