Sep 6, 2019 · Hello I finished school as an F1 student and filed for an EAD card under category C03B. I got married the same year and filed our paper work I-485 AND I-130 along with my request for an extention of my EAD card, form I-765.

The recently expired EAD is of Category C03B. I have applied for C03C (EAD Renewal under STEM OPT Extension). I received two receipts - Class C03B and C03C and both receipts/ Notice of Action of Form I-797C says that I would have an automatic 180 day extension.

The proof of I-765 application says that she should have an automatic 180 day extension to her current EAD while she waits for her new card to arrive. HOWEVER, a stipulation is that the category for the renewal must match the current EAD.

USCIS notified that the eligible category under this application for employment authorization is C19 and states general information regarding automatic 180 days extension.
