The guy explained the rational behind it and assured me it was fine, 99.99% C02 and that it can be used for welding and beverages. Do I need a washer between this regulator and my C02 tank?
Mar 28, 2009 · Until just recently reading up a bit, I didn't know it was common to need washers between the regulator and C02 tank. Though, I have read that some regulators are made so you don't need a washer. Here's a picture of my reg. As you can see there is a black rubber gasket on mine. Is this sufficient or do I need a washer as well.

Sep 19, 2012 · I can buy dry ice here for a buck a pound at the grocery store, which would dramatically cheapen my refills. I know a bit about chemistry, and it does make sense that the ice will sublimate until enough gas pressure has been reached, at which point the remaining ice will melt into the liquid C02 that you get when you refill the tank professionally.

May 25, 2012 · you would read 850 psi if you had 8oz of co2, the same as you would if you had 5 pounds. pressure does not relate to weight at all. your tank will read full pressure when it is anywhere between 100% and 5% full. only when the last drop of liquid CO2 is gone does the pressure start to drop.

I just purchased a 5lb C02 tank, regulator, hose, 2L cap, and wondering if there is any way to make seltzer using the old bottles, through the nozzle, with some type of adapter.
