Evil Buu (魔 ま 人 じん ブウ（純 じゅん 粋 すい 悪 あく） Majin Bū (Junsui Aku), lit. "Demon Person Boo (Pure Evil)") is a tall, thin, gray, emaciated creature which appeared after Majin Buu dispelled the evil from his body. Evil Buu, or skinny Buu, emerged from Majin Buu when his rage became unmanageable. The catalyst for this was the shooting of Mr. Satan.

Evil Buu is a manifestation of Majin Buu's rage, thereby allowing him to focus his energy to even greater levels and rendering Good Buu unable to gain strength through rage as effectively as Innocent Buu could.

Majin Buu (Japanese: 魔人ブウ, Hepburn: Majin Bū), generally spelled Majin Boo in subtitles of the Japanese anime, and rendered as Djinn-Boo in the Viz Media manga, is a fictional character and final antagonist in the Dragon Ball manga series created by Akira Toriyama, before the release of Dragon Ball Super.

In Zenkai Battle, Angry Explosion activates if Majin Buu's health goes below a certain point, causing the people around him to be engulfed in the explosion. In Tap Battle, it is named Buu Explosion where it is Majin Buu's ultimate attack. In Battle of Z, it is Majin Buu's Super Attack.

My guess is that grey buu is incomplete. Hes buu's hatred and rage but he lacks the power of kid buu. Kid Buu was his own being, not a part of something else vomitted out. That's also why he's discoloured and gaunt looking. He was basically super buu's hatred and rage split from the grand kai and the rest of Buu.

Teq Buu is on it because he was so uncontrollably enraged after Hercule almost died that he had to send him off while a physical embodiment of his rage and evil split from him against his will.
