Rifle Scopes Burris RT-6 Durability? - Sniper's Hide
Jul 8, 2018 · I just picked up a Burris RT-6 from @gr8fuldoug. Supposedly this optic was created as an entry level 3 gun competition scope, so I was wondering if anyone has had the chance to beat one up yet. I don't compete in 3 gun, so I'm sure it will serve my purposes just fine, I am still curious though about how it might be holding up under hard use.
Tested: Burris RT-6 vs. Swampfox Arrowhead 1-6 - AR15.COM
Dec 19, 2021 · Nice writeup. I owned the Arrowhead 1-8 and RT6 and actually found the opposite with the 1x. The Arrowhead to my eyes was like a 1.2x while the RT6 I would call a true 1x. Maybe just a testament to how much of lpvo's is personal preference. I did end up keeping the RT6 longer than the Arrowhead because the eyebox was downright difficult on 8x.
Burris RT-6 ...any good.. > Optics, Mounts, and Sights - AR15.COM
Mar 29, 2019 · Am considering selling mine. Good all around 1-6 scope but the red dot is a bit to big for my eyes. Yes, turrets are mushy. Am trying to find a good 1-8 with a crosshair for under $500 but no luck. May just spend the bucks on a Burris XTR II 1-8. Primary Arms I’m considering but have heard mixed reviews and posts about them.
Any reason to not get a Burris RT6? - AR15.COM
Sep 5, 2019 · Thinking of getting a Burris RT6. Use red dots on my ARs but would like to use a better optic for longer range shots 3-400 yards. Eyes are not what they used to be at 52. Might do some 2 or 3 gun for fun. Too old to do it as a competitor. Burris RT6 is in my budget. Not wanting the Fastfire and mount combo just the RT6 and a decent mount ...
Burris RT6 > Optics, Mounts, and Sights > AR15.COM
Jan 4, 2018 · I got the new RT6 on my 308 and the old SE on my M10X 7.62. Optics quality of the Burris RT6 is hands down much better than the SE 1-6. Eye box on the RT6 at 6x is much more forgiving compared to the SE. I'm confident enough with this new Burris to put it on my match 308 for the upcoming 3 gun season.
Burris RT6 > Optics, Mounts, and Sights > AR15.COM
Dec 4, 2021 · The RT6 is quite possibly the most overhyped optic I've ever seen. My friend bought one and it was downright abysmal. Sometimes I wonder if the people who hype it up have actually shot it outside of their 25yd indoor range.
Rifle Scopes - Burris RT-6 1-6x24 vs. Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x24 FFP ...
Nov 18, 2018 · Sighted in at 100 yards, The ballistic sub-tensions on both scopes reticles were accurate with American Marksman 5.56 62gr boat tail FMJ (not M855) rounds out to 600 yards. Even though the Vortex has 8x as opposed to the Burris 6x, the Burris has a much more forgiving eye box, clearer glass, and was just easier to shoot at distance.

Burris RT6 and LPVO Questions - AR15.COM
Aug 17, 2024 · The Burris RT6 is a great scope and the glass is awesome. Sometimes the RT6 can be picked up dirt cheap too. Burris always seems to have been missed and underrated. I guess Beretta bought Burris and Burris bought Steiner, so there is a lot in play and a great warranty. They just don't market it heavy.
