Is the Bull Shad really worth it? - Bass Fishing Forums
Feb 12, 2020 · I see the Mike Bucca bull shad and baby bull shad are popular, but at $14 for one I'm out. Plus I dont think they look that good. Big space betweens segments and colors are meh. The H2O Express ones at Academy, to me, look better. Less gap between segments and good colors and patterns. I want a bluegill and a shad patterned one.
Mike Bucca Bull Shad - Which to Get? - Bass Fishing Forums
Sep 4, 2024 · Howdy! I'm interested in trying out some of the Mike Bucca Bull Shad baits. I was recommended the 4x4 and the Wake to try out. The issue is I have absolutely no idea which ones to get. Normally I'd grab a couple but at $70/each I can't really do that. My question is, living in TX what would be th...
Bull Shad/Bull Gill/ BBZ-1 Rat advice - Fishing Tackle - Bass Fishing ...
Nov 20, 2018 · So I'm looking to get one of the Bull Shad/Bull Gill and a BBZ-1 Rat. I'm just curious what your thoughts are on these baits. The sizes. The sink rates (or do you prefer floating versions). I live in WI, so we aren't dealing with double-digit bass often. But I'd still like something a little bigger to get those bigger bites.
Bull Gill, Bull Shad or Bull Herring - Bass Fishing Forums
Dec 22, 2020 · I prefer the Bull Shad. Have not had a ton of success with many bluegill hardbaits and the herring doesn't seem to have as good of a swim as the shad, I think the spacing between the joints is a little too close and occasionally touches and binds it.

Baby Bull Shad Swimbait - Fishing Tackle - Bass Fishing Forums
Apr 13, 2021 · The Baby Bull Shad is decent. I'd suggest not getting into swimbaits if you're trying to not spend much money on baits because the baits themselves are expensive, and you'll need specialized rods and reels to fish them.

Triton Mike Bucca Bull Shad Swimbaits - Fishing Tackle - Bass …
Jul 29, 2021 · Assuming you're talking about the standard bull shad, I don't really see a difference but I've got more confidence in the silent version. I fish them in water with fairly good visibility most of the time, so I don't need rattles and it makes them a little more realistic.
Suicide Glide vs. Bull Shad - Fishing Tackle - Bass Fishing Forums
Nov 11, 2017 · Hello. I've kind of been looking around at a swimbait which isn't too horribly expensive that does a good job of matching the profile of a Gizzard Shad/Alewife. I've kind of narrowed my choices down to two baits... Suicide Glide and Bull Shad. I'm leaning towards the 7" size in both baits because it's about all my set-up will allow.
Does anyone feel like the “fast sinking” Bull Shad is the only one ...
Oct 3, 2023 · Bull Shad isn’t a glide, it’s a multi-jointed Swimbait but yeah everything else you said agreed. Depends if you’re talking glides or other style swims. Glide baits are big fish baits, intended to be worked slowly. Mike Bucca has himself personally said the Bull Shad is intended to be burned. All have their place at different times of year.
