Feb 18, 2024 · Out of the box, brave is probably better, but if you do a bit of configuration, i think Firefox wins by quite a bit in terms of security and privacy, and a lot in terms of convenience and performance.

Oct 30, 2022 · Brave is really private out of the box, plus being a Chromium browser, it has all the performance benefits you'd expect from a Chromium browser. Firefox has the advantages and disadvantages of engine independence.

Jul 6, 2022 · I strongly dislike most of Brave's ethos but as a browser, it seems to be going in a constructive direction, unlike Firefox, which is having parts stripped out of it, bit by bit, as the Mozilla CEO guzzles more money and tries to minimise the number of people she has to pay. That's my rationalisation for using Brave over Firefox.

I just switched to Brave from Vivaldi so I was worried and wanted to investigate the claims, because what are my privacy steps worth if I use a browser that tracks me?
