Brau (Blue Bon), survived but was condemned for murder; if the spear is pulled out, he would die. After meeting Astro again, Brau went to kill the teddy bear to protect humanity which he once hated and died in the process.

Brau-1589 is the first robot to ever kill a human, taking place eight years prior the events of Pluto. The way Naoki Urasawa drew Brau-1589's limbs are reminiscent of the collapsible arms and legs that were part of the design for the Blue Knight or Blue Bon from Tezuka's Tetsuwan Atom.
