Boon Rawd Brewery (Thai: บริษัท บุญรอดบริวเวอรี่ จำกัด) is a Thai brewery founded in 1933 [1] by Phraya Bhirom Bhakdi (Boonrawd Sreshthaputra). It also produces soft drinks and bottled drinking water. [2] Their best-known product is the pale lager Singha.

Boon Rawd Brewery, Thailand’s first brewery, was founded in 1933 by Phraya Bhirom Bhakdi (Boonrawd Sreshthaputra). For over 80 years, the privately owned company has become a renowned beer and beverage producer, managed by 3rd and 4th generations of the descendants of the founder together with professionals from different fields.

Boonrawd, the family patriarch, had three sons who survived into adulthood: Vidya (a nephew he took as an adopted son); Prachuab (with his second wife Kim); and Chamnong (with his third wife Chimlim). He had three children with his first wife Khunying Lamai, though all died in infancy.

In 2000, Boon Rawd had a major reorganization of the group of companies, and the Singha Corporation was set up in 2001. Boon Rawd became the holding company, and all day-to-day operations came under each company reporting to the new corporation. Since then, Boon Rawd has grown more than double with new directions encompassing non-beer products.
