May 15, 2016 · Not every tree gives good foreshadowing of how its feeling. Its going to be on you if your going to find out what that next thing is, and "if" it is important to the health of your tree. Based on reading bonsai forums for the mast fifteen years, nearly every one who waits for their tree to talk to them gets out of the hobby.

Feb 17, 2009 · I was just wondering how many species of tropical/non-deciduous bonsai trees there are available, especially since I want to experiment, and I live in South Florida. Right now I do like my Ficus microcarpa named Joe. It works well indoors, is hardy, grows quick. I'm also attempting turn a small palm sappling I found into a bonsai tree.

Apr 10, 2016 · White speckles on Chinese Elm Bonsai Sun Apr 03, 2016 10:52 pm I received an indoor Chinese Elm as a gift about 6 months ago and although at first I had no problems, gradually the tree began loosing leaves, and develop what I can only describe as white speckles on the branches and the trunk.

Nov 18, 2014 · I am growing very concerned with a Jade bonsai tree that I recently got. I am brand new to bonsai but I am learning as I go. Throughout summer my tree grew well and was full and healthy, then recently it has started dropping leaves like crazy, to the point now where most of the leaves are gone though the tree still is trying to produce new ones.

Apr 25, 2009 · How much humidity should abonsai get if any? And are their any species that grow along stay smaller than others? I'm thinking of making a minature Japanese garden display but I want to keep the health of the bonsai in mind. If making a enclosed (open topped) minature garden puts the tree in danger please let me know and I won't do it.

Dec 28, 2008 · I received a ficus bonsai for Christmas from my son. Part of the leaves are drying up (about 1/2 the tree) the rest of the tree looksgood. What do I do? Will the dried part of the tree come back? I think it may have gotten frosted when he bought it. He said when he got it looked good but in about five days time it went drastically down hill.
